Area Officers

There are 30 Area Officers based throughout Wales available to serve the needs of Union members and sell financial services. Each Area Officer is responsible for a defined geographical area within each county.

Acquiring new members for the Union and the sale and servicing of general insurance needs of the rural community are primary functions.  The Area Office will assess the demands and needs of potential and existing customers' and advice them on the most appropriate insurance products to meet those needs.

They have received relevant insurance training and auditing in accordance with the demands of the Financial Services Authority and possess high levels of interpersonal skills to successfully build a mutually beneficial business relationship.

To the majority of members an Area Officers is the face of the Farmers' Union of Wales.
