FUW SINGLE PAYMENT CALCULATOR
The current single payment system is set to change after 2013, with the payment received pre hectare becoming increasingly based upon a uniform regional average payment per hectare. This means all farmers in a region will, after a transition period, receive the same amount per hectare. It will be up to the Welsh Government how regions are defined within Wales.
It is anticipated that this change will start to take place in 2014. The transition period currently proposed by the European Commission is 5 years. The FUW is fighting for a longer transition period towards a system which minimises disruption for as many farmers as possible.
The below single payment calculator gives estimates of what your single payment COULD look like AFTER a transition period away from the current historical single payment to two different types of payment system, based upon the payment per hectare figures given below.
**PLEASE NOTE THAT THE CALCULATIONS GIVEN BELOW ARE ONLY ESTIMATES BASED UPON TWO POSSIBLE PAYMENT MODELS AND A FIXED PILLAR 1 BUDGET FOR WALES, WITH NO DEDUCTIONS MADE FROM PAYMENTS DUE TO MODULATION, GREENING ETC. FINAL DEFINITIONS OF REGIONS, PAYMENT RATES FOR WALES, AND DETAILS OF THE FINAL CAP REGULATIONS ARE UNLIKELY TO BE KNOWN UNTIL SOME TIME IN 2013. YOU SHOULD NOT THEREFORE BASE ANY BUSINESS DECISIONS ON THE BELOW FIGURES, WHICH ARE JUST EXAMPLES**
